MY STORY

 

My whole life I have grown up with both art and Jesus. Whenever people asked me what I wanted to do with my life, I would either shrug or say, “No idea.” I always simply trusted that God would take me exactly where He needed me to be, exactly when I needed to be there. 

Not having any tangible long-term life goals opened me up for God to work in and through me without obstacles. While I never expect to have everything figured out, I am grateful that God has gently led me to this next step in life — a summer of ministry at OneWay Ministries. 

In college, I found myself connecting with the Lord more, despite the fact that I attended a liberal arts school at which most of my peers were not believers. I got heavily involved in Cru, becoming a Bible study leader for three of my four years and going on three mission trips and several retreats. 

I realized that art and ministry could be combined, and that this seemed to be the direction the Lord was calling me toward.

I learned about OneWay Ministries a few months after graduating with a degree in fine arts. As I began attending monthly worship gatherings hosted by OneWay, my eyes were opened to the creative opportunities offered there within missions, from photography to video editing to writing and more.

I am excited to see what God reveals to me over the course of the summer! I am open and ready to grow in Him and for Him, trusting that He knows what is best for me and for His people. It will feel good to apply my range of skills and passions to helping further His kingdom!
