A living legacy

John and Lynette Nelson are faithful Kingdom-advancers who have dedicated their lives to serving the Church both locally and globally. They’ve always wanted to make a difference during their time on earth. John recently shared why they have decided to include giving to several OneWay projects as part of their living legacy.

“My wife and I have served as volunteers in churches we attended from the time we got married until now.  We are now seniors and find we are becoming more limited physically. “We asked ourselves what we could do as seniors that would bring people to the Lord. We felt it was important that our investment in Kingdom work would result in the largest number of people coming to the Lord. “We felt OneWay Ministries best met our desires. We selected some projects and already have seen how God has used our funds.  “We always considered leaving money in our will or a trust, but decided we could take some of that money and see the results now! We felt that our decision to invest in the Kingdom work now was better than letting others decide how to spend our money after we are gone.”

Among other projects, John and Lynette have helped fund the Livingstone School of Missions in West Africa. They’ve had the joy of seeing graduates reach more than 10,000 people with the gospel, 2,000 of those coming to faith in Christ. They have also supported OneWay Africa’s new missionary training center in northern Ghana, where countless others will be prepared for gospel work. We praise God for the ongoing legacy of these faithful partners!
