Get to know the OneWay team! This week we'd like to introduce you to one of the people working behind the scenes at OneWay to help Reach People.
Lyndsey Koh worked one of her first jobs on a celery farm, but these days she writes critical news stories to empower Mission Network News readers to take action that changes lives. As an MNN Staff Writer, she connects with partners around the world, focusing on the Middle East.
When she first heard about MNN as a freshman at Taylor University, she had only taken basic 101 journalism classes. Her internship as a news reporter was unfamiliar and challenging, but she returned every summer and holiday until she graduated, eventually joining their full-time staff and even taking on work with OneWay’s Prayercast team.
“I love how everyone on the team takes a personal interest in one another's lives,” Lyndsey says. “There is a genuine emphasis on prayer and spiritual encouragement!”
When she isn’t writing away on her laptop, you can find her playing with her 6-month-old and 4-year-old sons, introducing them to some of her favorite stories, like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
Her favorite quote is from Mark Vroegop’s book, Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy: "The cross shows us that God has already proven himself to be for us and not against us . . . The promise for Christians is as glorious as it is deep: Jesus bought the right to make everything right.”
