Rylie Thompson has always had a passion for people. She grew up wanting to be a teacher and had made plans to do so, but as she approached the end of high school, something didn’t feel right about it anymore.
God answered her prayer for direction very clearly the summer before her senior year while she was at a Christ In Youth conference. When the speaker called out to the assembly of students to stand if they felt the Lord leading them into ministry, Rylie recalls immediately standing up as if someone was picking her up out of her seat. She felt a wide array of emotions that whole week and knew this was prompting from the Holy Spirit to a life in ministry.
Since then, she has been pursuing an Educational Ministry degree with a minor in Behavioral Science at Grace College. Her fiance is also pursuing a life in ministry, and Rylie is excited to be partnering with him in that after their wedding this coming winter.
Rylie’s dream of being a teacher has turned into a passion for discipling young women. This summer she has had the opportunity to love others and disciple them well as an Outreach & Evangelism track team member. Her passion for people has remained true at OneWay.
“The thing that has genuinely excited me the most about OneWay is the connections and friendships that I’ve made,” explained Rylie.
We welcome Rylie to the team!
